Men’s Style Personalities
Whether you realize it or not, your personality and your attitude towards your lifestyle, hobbies, cars and even the vacations you enjoy taking, all have an impact upon the clothing that you chose. This is your “style personality” or brand. Let’s explore the different style personalities to discover what your particular style is! If you feel good in your clothes, odds are they are a reflection of your personality.
The Creative
The creative have an individual look that varies from day to day. He prefers to shop in men’s boutiques, market stalls, or even thrift shops rather than mainstream
shopping malls. He may feel stifled in a formal business environment, but can still look appropriate while putting his own creative touch into his wardrobe.
David Bowie adds his own creative touch to basic black casual dress and exemplifies the creative personality with his entire wardrobe.
The Dramatic
The dramatic loves to shop and buy the latest fashions and gadgets. He likes to make bold and strong color statements. He may change his hairstyle often, making use
of all of the latest grooming products available. In a very formal environment, he may have to tone down his exuberance and desire to be flamboyant.
David Beckham exemplifies the dramatic personality with his flair for making fashion statements in this Ralph Lauren Purple Label suit by JD Elquist. Note the slim lines of the jacket and pants, but mixed with a wider tie with a full Windsor knot.
The Romantic
The romantic has a sense of security in his look and is not afraid to make others aware of his interest in looking after himself. He enjoy shopping
but thinks a purchase through before buying it. He cares about grooming and invests time and money in it. Romantics like interesting fabrics that are often luxurious.
Prince has the romantic style down to a science. Luxurious fabrics, full Windsor knotted ties, and bold use of color. Clothes on the right are by Burberry.
The Classic
The classic personality is a man of tradition. He is comfortable with his look and sees no reason to change it. He doesn’t like taking risks, particularly with his clothes. He is well coordinated and rarely experiment with different color combinations. When presented with something new, however, he may be open to change.

The Natural
The natural man has a very relaxed attitude to virtually everything; he is the typical laid-back man. He likes his clothes to be comfortable and easy to take care of.
If he is ever forced to wear a jacket and tie, the jacket spends most of its time on a hook, with the tie loose around his neck. The natural is the man who struggles the most with formal business wear.
Jude Law has a nice natural style that blends easy care clothing with a little bit of flair. Natural does not necessarily have to translate as sloppy. Just be careful with the fit.
The International
The international man may feel that he is a little bit of all of the other looks. This is the true international look – adapting his style to suit his location and the occasion. He is adept at changing a shirt or a tie to completely alter his look. Even though his budget may be limited, the
international man makes his purchases wisely to ensure that he has a coordinated wardrobe.
Pierce Brosnan has a way of adapting to any number of locales and occasions. He has the true international spirit of being trendy, but not over the top. The clothing on the right is by Dolce & Gabbana
